1. SuspensionSystemand Shock Absorber
First of all, we should correct the common misunderstanding that shock absorption and suspension are not the same things, a car suspension system is a set of vehicle balance shock absorption systems, and a shock absorber is only a part of the system. In short, vehicle suspension is the entire support system consisting of springs and shocks between the body and tires. The main function is supporting the body, improving the ride feel, and enhancing the handling ability. It determines the overall stability, comfort, and safety of the vehicle, so it is one of the key components.
In general, the suspension parts of the original car will be soft because they want to ensure the comfort of the ride. However, the suspension components are too soft and it makes the body tilt too much in the intense bending. The instability of the body will directly weaken the ability of the vehicle to take corners, and ultimately it may lead the vehicle out of control. Therefore, when you are going to refit the chassis, suspension kits and shock absorbers must be strengthened.
Sometimes, we modify the vehicle just for an attitude instead of the race, so there is no need to choose high hardness car shocks. You can choose some shocks absorbers that both provide comfort and provide appropriate cornering capacity.
We advise you’d better do shock absorbers and springs replacement together. Every shock absorber has its best working stroke range. If you only change the spring and have not done shock absorber replacement, it may limit the maximum stroke limit work and it can not make the maximum effect of the shock absorber but also reduce the service life of the rear and front shock absorber.
2. Sway Bar
When we talk about sway bar, I'm sure that some people may be wondering, Isn't the anti-roll bar just a normal iron, what will it do to the overall handling of the car? Although the structure of the anti-sway bar is simple, it still has a vital role.
The main role of the anti-roll bar is to prevent vehicles from rolling too much in corners. If you rely solely on springs and shock absorbers to control the roll of the vehicle during steering, you need very hard spring designs with very high damping shock absorbers. 3. Wheel hub
The modification of the wheel hub is mainly to reduce the load of the suspension and driveshaft, and it is also essential for changing the lightweight wheel rim. Generally, the wheel hub provided by the original factory is small. If the brake disc is modified, it cannot be assembled into the wheel hub. Besides, the original hub is generally somewhat unsatisfactory in appearance, and it is possible to change the hub of the drum.
4. Tire
Why do the tire replacement? Given save the cost of the car manufacturers, the original tire may not exactly match the performance of the vehicle. You can choose high-performance tires for better grip, ride quality, and handling.
