A car accident can damage your car and make it unsightly. The most typical accident is a bumper-to-bumper collision. Most bumpers on today's vehicles are made of plastic, and they break easily. The workload and cost required to repair the bumper are the same as the workload and cost required to install a new bumper. With the right tools and techniques, it is easy to disassemble the front and rear bumpers. ECCPP auto parts will meet your needs for the full replacement of bumpers.

Remove the rear bumper

One of the biggest dangers while driving is other road users. When you stop at an intersection, no one wants to hear the crunch of vehicles behind you. At low speeds, your rear bumper can absorb the impact and strain of a collision, but it usually causes huge damage in a collision. In this case, you can quickly and easily purchase a spare rear bumper, which can be replaced with little mechanical knowledge.

This is a relatively easy task, and it can be completed only by having the most basic mechanical knowledge. To complete the task at hand, you need a set of wrenches or wrenches, a flat-head screwdriver, and an assistant to help hold the new bumper in place when you reinstall it on the car.

step 1

Open the trunk of the vehicle. Unscrew all the screws covering the internal plastic trim that connects the bumper to the luggage compartment.

Step 2

Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry out the plastic part. You will expose the bolts that connect the rear bumper to the luggage compartment.

Step 3

Unscrew the bolts attached to the inside of the rear car bumper. There should be four bolts.

the fourth step

Unscrew the two to four screws attached to the bumper from the inside of the rear tire compartment. These screws are located in the tire well area near the bumper.

Step 5

Slide under the back of the car. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to eject the plastic rivets from the underside of the rear bumper. There should be four to six rivets.

Squat behind your car and pull down the bumper hard. There will be a popping plastic sound. This is the last plastic rivet holding the rear bumper in place.
