The clutch cylinder is a separate bearing, which is usually connected to the gearbox inside the clutch.The clutch slave cylinder receives pressure from the master cylinder and extends a rod, which will push against a fork or lever to disengage the clutch. When the clutch master cylinder has any problems, it can cause issues with shifting gears, which will take away from the overall drivability of the vehicle and can even damage to the transmission.
